Hot Air Balloon Ride

Description

We’ll depart before sunrise from San Pedro de Atacama to the launch site. After a welcome coffee, your pilot will explain how the balloon works and go over safety measures. You’ll be able to join the cold-inflation process and even step inside the balloon for photos before takeoff.

The hot-air balloon flight lasts about 1 hour and uses a basket for 6 or 12 passengers. During the ride, float over the Atacama Desert with panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and the Salt Mountain Range. After landing, we’ll drive back to San Pedro de Atacama.

Important notes

• The experience lasts 3 to 4 hours overall; the flight itself is  around 1 hour.
• Pick-up and drop-off not available for lodgings outside the urban area, in nearby ayllus (Quitor, Yaye, Checar, Sequitor, Solor, Coyo), or in Toconao.
