We will leave Cusco very early to begin the trip to the train station in Ollantaytambo or Wanchaq, where you will board the train that will take you to Aguas Calientes, or Machu Picchu Pueblo as the locals call it. Our team will be waiting for you here and then you will take the bus to Machu Picchu, llaqta or ancient Quechua village that dates back to before the 15th century. Regardless of the type of program you have purchased (with or without ticket), you will have a guided tour through the archaeological site for approximately 2 hours, during this time you will have access to relevant information regarding Machu Picchu, its history and importance for the Quechuas of the time, in addition to the historical legacy for the Peruvian people to this day. After the tour, during which you will be able to observe and take photographs of one of the seven wonders of the modern world, you will begin the return trip by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will be able to walk around and wait until the time when you have to take the train back to Ollantaytambo. Afterwards, a vehicle will take you to your accommodation in Cusco.
*It is not possible to climb a mountain, Machu Picchu Mountain nor Huayna Picchu, due to the citadel visit is made from the second turn on, in which it is not allowed a climb to neither mountain.
