What to bring
We will gather at our meeting point to begin this Walled City & Getsemani District Free Tour. Here you will understand how the lives of citizens were divided by social classes during the colonial era, but, at the same time, connected to achieve local independence. You will cross the Camellón de los Mártires square, located in front of the current Clock Tower, which was the bridge that allowed the two sides of society to come together and build their own identity. Here you can find the Muelle de los Pegasos (Pegasus Wharf), the Cartagena Convention Center and the Independence Centennial Park. You will cross everything from north to south to the viewpoint of the San Felipe Fortress and you will understand the great power held by the people of Cartagena, the jewel of the ancient Spanish Crown.
